Offering Understanding + Compassion

Understanding the Unique Needs of Veterans

Veterans experience trauma in ways that most civilians never encounter. Exposure to combat, the loss of fellow soldiers, prolonged separation from family, and the constant state of high alert can leave lasting emotional scars. When left untreated, these traumatic experiences often contribute to the development of mental health disorders, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety. In many cases, veterans turn to drugs or alcohol as a way to numb their emotional pain or cope with intrusive thoughts and memories.

Veritas Detox understands that addiction in veterans often stems from deeper emotional wounds, and their approach focuses on addressing the root causes of substance abuse. Our programs provide veterans with a safe, supportive environment where they can confront these underlying issues while developing the coping skills necessary to maintain long-term sobriety.

The Value of Seeking Professional Treatment

When you’re struggling with addiction, it can be hard to ask for help. It’s important to remember that substance use disorders (SUDs) are not a reflection of weakness or failure. They are, in fact, a medical condition that is treatable with the right care. However, the stigma and shame that these disorders carry can be heavy, creating a substantial obstacle to care that keeps many from asking for help when they need it.

At Veritas Detox, we recognize the resilience and strength it takes to seek treatment.

We treat each patient with the respect and care they deserve, taking the necessary steps to understand their story and chart a path to sustainable recovery. We offer intensive, supervised drug rehab for veterans in a comfortable inpatient setting, striving to deliver best-in-class support for each individual’s journey.

Our Program

Comprehensive Inpatient Drug Rehab for Veterans

Inpatient Care

The residential inpatient program covers the highest level of care offered at Veritas Detox. It is the recommended route for those with severe substance use disorders who need considerable support. In this program, clients reside in our facility, benefiting from round-the-clock care and comprehensive medical and psychological treatment. Our luxury residential inpatient rehab is designed with comfort and community in mind, offering our clients a retreat where they can dedicate themselves to the pursuit of recovery.

Inpatient care begins with a psychological assessment, after which a qualified team designs a personalized plan and treatment schedule. Each course of treatment is tailored to the individual’s circumstances, goals, and overall needs.

For patients requiring drug and alcohol detox, inpatient treatment begins with a period of medically supervised withdrawal. The specific experience of detox varies for each person, depending on the length, severity, and nature of their substance use. Symptoms range from mildly uncomfortable to life-threatening. For this reason, professional medical care is essential for ensuring a safe, successful detoxification. Our experienced team provides each patient with the medical support and attention they need to clear their system and establish a strong foundation for ongoing recovery treatment.

What Sets Us Apart

Specialized Services to Support Your Journey

Active duty military members and veterans experience high rates of substance use, often stemming from the intense, stressful nature of their work. Training, deployment, time away from family, and high-pressure situations can take a significant toll on one’s physical and mental health. Returning to civilian life brings another set of challenges, as veterans can struggle with the abrupt and jarring adjustment.

Learning how to cope with these experiences doesn’t come easily. Developing a healthy, resilient skillset is essential to creating a healthier, more balanced life. Residential patients attend daily therapy sessions during their stay. One-on-one therapy offers a chance for dedicated, personal work, while group sessions serve as a space for communal support. Group therapy can help combat the isolation that accompanies addiction, providing the opportunity to share, listen, learn, and engage with others who share similar experiences.

As a holistic treatment center, Veritas Detox offers supportive therapies and methods to accompany traditional medical care. We know that addiction affects every aspect of your life, from your closest relationships to your physical health. While enrolled in inpatient rehab, our clients can take advantage of our fitness program, which includes a number of activities such as weightlifting and yoga.

Holistic therapy options include meditation, creative writing, and music groups. These valuable outlets offer opportunities for connection, reflection, and creativity, furthering their progress by addressing the various ways that addiction can disrupt our sense of self and community.

Addiction doesn’t just impact the individual—it affects the entire family. Veritas Detox recognizes the importance of family involvement in the recovery process and offers family therapy sessions to educate and support loved ones. These sessions help families understand the complexities of addiction, learn effective communication skills, and establish healthy boundaries. By involving families in the healing process, Veritas Detox strengthens the veteran’s support system, increasing the likelihood of long-term success.

Addiction and Mental Health here for you

Substance use disorders (SUDs) are mental health conditions that often require specialized professional treatment. However, it’s not uncommon for those suffering from addiction to experience other disorders alongside SUDs. Depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and other co-occurring conditions can create additional barriers to recovery. If these are ignored in treatment, relapse becomes more likely, and individuals can become stuck in the ongoing cycle of addiction.

Dual diagnosis treatment involves identifying and treating co-occurring disorders to help patients understand and address the entanglement of addiction and mental health. In some cases, individuals may be unaware of underlying conditions, or treatment may have been unavailable in the past.

Our dual-diagnosis treatment program helps patients gain a deeper insight into their mental well-being. By simultaneously treating substance use and related conditions, we increase your odds of realizing lifelong recovery.

We Are Here For You

Navigating the Impact of Trauma

Trauma comes in many forms. It affects the body and brain in complex ways, and unfortunately, it’s not something we can conquer with willpower alone. Military veterans experience post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) at a higher rate than civilians, especially when they’ve experienced deployment and combat.

The symptoms of PTSD can cause individuals to turn to substance use as a coping mechanism. While this may provide short-term relief, it ultimately causes more harm in the long run. At best, it’s a band-aid for the underlying issues, neglecting the core of the problem, which only worsens with ongoing substance use. Nearly 1 in 3 veterans seeking treatment for substance use are dealing with co-occurring PTSD. In these cases, it’s essential to address the whole picture rather than addiction alone.

Veritas Detox employs trauma-informed care principles to create a safe space where veterans can confront their trauma without fear of judgment.

Trauma is often at the core of substance use disorders among veterans. Therapists use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) to help veterans process and heal from their traumatic experiences.

Through these therapies, veterans learn to manage triggers, reframe negative thought patterns, and develop healthier coping mechanisms. This trauma-informed approach is essential for ensuring that veterans feel heard, validated, and empowered throughout their recovery journey.

What Our Clients Say About Us

From the techs who became some of my best friends there to the therapist and each group facilitator. The quality was top notch. The chef took such good care of us and everything was delicious. The house and private rooms were really comfortable and peaceful. Everyone really cared and wanted each client to succeed. Thank you to everyone there and for helping me get my life back.
Rick T.
I never realized they had treatment centers, like this. Food is a ten, house is a ten, and the recovery is a ten. . The house is a mansion, no chores, cooking, cleaning or anything, just focus on recovery. The house is nothing compared to the staff, that run it. The most compassionate people, who understand this disease better than anyone I've been around.
Timothy G.
The best rehab facility I’ve ever went to my entire life the staff was absolutely incredible. And the facility is so beautiful it’s so relaxing and the food is so exquisite. The owners of the facility truly care about each client individually and are some of the best people I’ve ever met. Thank you for everything y’all did for me.
Salvador C.
While in detox, I had the most attentive care from the nurses and staff which meant the world to me. This was my first (and hopefully last) rehab experience and I don't think I could've asked for anything better. They have private chefs, excellent group sessions, top of the line doctors, therapists, and social workers. Yes, this is a place to get off of substances, but it's so much more... You can actually fix yourself here.
Dashe H.
From the walking into the doors to my final days in the facility, all of my needs were not only met but exceeded. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and caring. Most of which are in long term recovery, which is comforting as well. From therapy to extracurricular activities, I was always engaged and learning more about how to get my life back on track. Meals curated by the chef were above anything I could’ve expected. And the estate itself is breathtaking.
